Strictly come dancing…
Strictly come dancing will be our own version of the popular television programme hosted by Bruce Forsythe. Just like the programme we will have our expert dancers, paired with celebrities. In our case the experts will be the pupils and the celebrities will be the school staff. They will learn three routines and will perform each of them on the 12th, 13th, and 14th of December.
Especially for the event we have flown in our very own panel of x factor judges. We have Mrs. Metcalfe (as Sharon Osbourne), Mr. McKee (as Simon Cowel) and finally Mr. Graham (as Louis Walsh). The expert judges along with the audience will be voting for their favourites and prizes will be awarded to the winning pair.
Strictly come dancing is a fundraiser for our entry into rock challenge in April. The tickets go on sale at the end of November so get your tickets snapped up and support your favourite pair!!
Rock idol…
Rock idol is a competition that is all performed over video conferencing. The heats and finals
Will be held in St Pius High School in Magherafelt at the end of November.
Model rock will be performing an original song (one they have written
themselves) in front of live web cams to a panel of judges. Only one school will get through the heat and this is where we need your help!
The public will vote for their favorite band and the one with the most votes will get into the final! To vote for us you need to log on to the web site www.c2kni.org.uk and it will tell you what to do there. Voting will be opened form the 14th -17th of November then reopened for the main competition on the 30th of November so get voting!
Rock Challenge...
This is a drug free event, which involves an 8 minute performance in the Waterfront Hall on Tuesday 3rd April. Over 100 girls will be participating! We will be competing against other schools for a place in the grand final in Grimsby, England!
Rehearsals are as follows:
- Every Saturday from 9.30am - 12pm
- After Christmas there will be rehearsals on Tuesdays & Thursdays after school.
