Project Romania is a Christian Charity which was established in September 1998. The work of the organisation is dependant on volunteers. Their work is primarily in Sighisoara and the surrounding villages in the Transylvania area of Romania.

Reverend Norman and Linda Patterson work as full time volunteer representatives overseeing the distribution of aid and co-ordinating the teams of volunteers who come to Romania.

Christmas begins early here in the Model. For the past 5 years our school has been involved in the Christmas shoe box appeal. At an assembly recently Norman
reported that of the 3000 shoe boxes distributed each year about 20% comes from the Girls Model. The shoeboxes need to be ready for the middle of October so they can be transported to Romania in plenty of time for Christmas.

Once again the Christmas shoe box appeal was well supported and we were able to send lovely boxes full of hats, scarves, gloves, toiletries and small gifts for the children and old people of Romania.

Norman collected the boxes on Monday 9th October so they can get to Romania in time for Christmas.

It is important to remember that this is the only Christmas present these children will receive this year.
