The school council was set up in the Girls Model to allow pupils to meet and discuss issues or problems which they have about the school.
The school council‘s first meeting of this year was held in September. The School Council is a form of pupil‘s parliament and there are 20 elected councillors representing each year group.
The school Council provides an opportunity for pupils to have a say in their school. The council is chaired by Robyn Douglas and Samantha Leathem. Within the first meeting, we discussed issues of school dinners, special buses and any other business. Recently in school, we seen a change in the running of school dinners. Within the school, we brought forward the need for more selection in school dinners for every pupil.
Meetings are held every terms and we discuss any areas which we think could be improved. We are currently discussing Special Buses and we will hopefully have a positive outcome from this very soon.
