The eagerly anticipated Paris Trip of 2006 had at last arrived! 40 girls, 4 teachers (Mr McKee, Miss Cameron, Mrs Johnston and Mrs Campbell) and Nurse Dennison jetted off to the exciting French capital on Monday 19th June for 4 days of French fun, laughter and unforgettable memories!
We made sure that the girls had a fun filled time and that they had many opportunities to sample the Parisian atmosphere.
They certainly enjoyed practising their French - because we
teachers heard them even when they thought nobody was listening!
As for the girls, I speak on behalf of all staff on the trip, they were an absolute joy to be with. They did themselves proud by behaving in an outstanding manner.
They were courteous and of great spirit at all times. We really couldn‘t have asked for better.
It was especially a trip to remember as Mr McKee has since hung up his teaching hat in search of care-free days looking after his horses. I‘m sure the girls will agree that his presence and craic made the Trip even more memorable and future trips and days at Belfast Girls‘ Model will be very quiet without him.
P.S. For anyone planning to go to Paris in the near future…
I think the shops should finally be stocked up again….I can‘t be sure….our girls really did buy everything in sight! Mini Eiffel towers, keyrings, pens, postcards, slippers, school bags, sweets, dressing gowns, pyjamas, Disney characters……
