As many of you may be sitting exams soon I have included a few tips for dealing with exam stress.

1. PLAN YOUR TIME
Draw up a revision timetable and stick to it. Split your time into fifteen minute blocks and allow yourself a five minute break. Knowing you have a break coming up will stop you losing interest and losing concentration

2. BE REALISTIC
You have a good idea of what you are capable of. Being realistic will help you (and your parents!) from being disappointed when you get your results. They key thing is to do your BEST!

3. DRINK LOTS OF WATER
It will keep you hydrated and your brain functioning at its best. Don‘t drink too much coke or coffee as caffeine won‘t help you to concentrate.

4. REVISION
Write out important dates and facts. Use lots of coloured pens and underline key phrases. Go over your notes a day later and then a week after that.

5. TEST YOURSELF
Test yourself or get someone to test you on your notes. Bribe a brother or sister to do it for your, or ask your parents.

6. STICK NOTES UP
Buy some sticky notes and write key facts or phrases on each. Stick them round your bedroom or in places where you will see them.

7. ASK FOR HELP
Ask a teacher if you don‘t understand a particular topic. Talk to the school mentors or school counsellor if you don‘t have support at home. You are not alone so don‘t feel you have to be!

8. GET SOME EXERCISE
Exercise is a great way to give yourself a break
