TopLinks

This year many Year 11 girls applied for management positions in our annual Toplink festival. Each Year 11 pupil was assigned a role within Toplink which will help them with their leadership skills, and will come in handy for their H.R.P.E. in P.E. This festival originally started when we wanted to promote our school to feeder primary schools within the community. We also asked Catholic Maintained schools and Special Needs Schools to Participate. This festival was aimed at Primary 6 pupils.

The team includes:

• Overall Manager‘s - Lynne Carrigan, Natasha Wells, Christina Wilson
• Media Manager - Megan McDermott
• Coach Manager - Melanie Cooper, Jade Spence
• Financial Manager - Samantha Gault

There are many sporting activities which other girls will be contributing to teach the children involved. Some sports, children may not know but will pick up with the help of our girls.

We hope this festival will be very successful when it takes place in May.

Community Relations Programme

A number of pupils from Mrs Young‘s form class 9M and pupils from Our Lady of Mercy participated in a group project. The aim of this project was to create a shared symbol of identity whilst working with other young people from a different community.
