I am sure you all know the very popular television programme "Strictly Come Dancing" that unites "non-dance celebrities" with professional dancers in a bid to turn celebrities into dancers! Well the Girls Model held our very own version right here in school to raise money for Rock Challenge. 20 Senior girls (the professionals) were paired with members of staff (the celebrities) and learned 3 styles of dance: Cha Cha, Hip Hop/Pop and Musical Jazz, to perform a different dance each night.
All three nights of Strictly Come Dancing proved to be a huge success; both pupils and teachers danced extremely well and entertained a full house audience each night!
Winners of the Cha Cha dance were Lauren Johnston and Miss Brown
Winners of the Hip Hop/Pop dance were Rachel Glenn and Miss Harte
Winners of the Musical Jazz dance were Stephanie Watters and Miss Sutherland
The overall winners were Lauren Johnston and Miss Brown
Congratulations to all of them!
and congratulations to all of those placed in the top 5 each night!!
Strictly Come Dancing raised over £2000 for Rock Challenge so thank you to everyone who was involved.
