She inspired the girls with stories about when she was at school, how she got to where she is today, and it wasn‘t an easy job. Baroness Blood was proud to see so many girls had been attending school so well, especially twins Amber and Danielle Orr who received an award for 7 years full attendance. If only every girl was that committed to school, they are an example for all pupils of the Belfast Model School for Girls.

The music department also contributed to the afternoon by solos from both Kerrie Davison and Stephanie Watters. Kerrie played Jupiter from The Planets Suite by Holst on the euphonium while Stephanie entertained the audience and guests with On My Own from the musical ”Les Miserables“ by Schonberg. Both performances were a credit to the school and reflects the talent evident within the pupils.
