Chamber Choir
For the first time the Girls Model has formed a brand new chamber choir. The chamber choir is a small group of talented singers who will be performing more advanced choral music. You do not have to read music and all senior pupils are welcome, whether or not you have been in a choir before.
This is a unique opportunity to develop your singing ability and general musicality and would look very impressive on a CV or UCAS form as it demonstrates commitment and dedication.
Their first performance was during this year‘s prize night and ”God Be In My Head“ was performed unaccompanied and the pupils excelled with a delightful rendition.
”These girls have proven both their enthusiasm as well as loyalty and they certainly looked very professional with their new gowns“ Mrs R Ashe
This choir meet every Friday at lunch time in Room 35 with Mrs Ashe - any newcomers would be very welcome.
School Choir
This year the school choir have increased in number and welcomed many year 8 pupils. This choir is for all pupils, no matter your age, and Mrs Graham puts them through their paces in Room 35 every Wednesday at lunch time. Their first performance of the year was also during prize night where they performed John Rutters for the Beauty of the Earth. Their sweet voices and beautiful harmonies definitely demonstrated the musical ability held within the pupils of the Belfast Model School for Girls.
If you are interested in participating in this very enjoyable extra curricular activity, then speak to Mrs Graham for more information.
