We would like to introduce our Head Girls, Colleen Mann & Carole Grant. These girls are extremely hard working and definitely are model pupils! We thought we would ask them some questions and find out a little more about them.
Name: Colleen Mann
What A-levels are you studying this year? Mathematics & Double Award Science
What do you enjoy most about being Head Girls? I enjoy the responsibility of my position and being well known amongst both pupils and staff. Most importantly I really enjoy working alongside Mrs Mairs and Carole Grant.
What are you most excited about this year? At the minute I am very excited about the formal. I remember the first time I organised a major event, the feeling of success was immense. I hope the formal will be just as successful.
What are you most nervous about? I don‘t get nervous, although when I get stressed or need relief, I like to play the piano.
What tasks do you have to do as Head Girls? Organise the prefect body, chair the formal committee, run student voice, always be available to attend events in school and assist when necessary.
What would you like to improve in our school? Some improvements that I would like to see may take a few years before noticeable changes can be seen. These include a change in some pupils attitudes to school life and more pupils getting involved in activities.
Other: It is very important to find the right balance between my duties as Head Girls and my school work. My school work must be priority because my grades are what will determine the next stage of my life - though being Head Girl will help demonstrate all my qualities.

What A-levels are you studying this year? RE, Psychology & Sociology
What do you enjoy most about being Head Girls? Being able to help out and make a difference to the important areas of school life e.g. school council, student voice etc.
What are you most excited about this year? Student voice - I think this is a great programme and I love seeing other pupils getting involved in important matters of the running of the school. I also love helping out at different events so I‘m really looking forward to that.
What are you most nervous about? Not being able to fulfil my responsibilities as Head Girl to the best of my ability and also not being able to keep on top of my school work.
What tasks do you have to do as Head Girls? Organise the duty lists for the prefect body, chair the formal committee, run student voice, attend different evening events through the school and most importantly be a role model for all pupils of the Girls Model.
What would you like to improve in our school? Other peoples opinions on our school and that the local community would see the school for the great place that it is.
Other: I am so glad I was chosen to be Head Girl and I will strive to complete this role to the best of my ability.
