To continue our ICT Specialist school work within the local community, we are working alongside two extremely hard-working community groups. Miss Miriam McAlister (Blue Houses) and Mrs Roberta Grey (Shankill Womens Centre) have allowed us to deliver courses providing members of the local community an opportunity to enhance their CV‘s with recognised ICT qualifications. Mrs Stuart provides the ICT training covering a variety of course in a range of locations.

Shankill Women‘s Centre
Following the successful completion of the new CLAiT 2006 unit 1 for a number of ladies last year, it was decided that this year we would offer this course again. CLAiT includes developing skills using Microsoft Word as well as organisation of your files and folders. There are 6 ladies currently completing this course, however, if you are interested in improving your ICT skills please do not hesitate to contact Mrs K Stuart at the Girls Model.

Blue Houses
There are currently 9 young adults completing the OCT National First Award, which is equivalent to a GCSE. They are extremely enthusiastic about the course and they are learning many new skills including using :

· Microsoft PowerPoint
· Microsoft Excel
· Microsoft Access
· Internet Explorer
· E-communication
