The year 11 Dual-Identity Group have been continuing to work with girls from Our Lady of Mercy. In December we all met up to see Cinderella at the Opera House and in January we visited the group in their school. In February and March we are going to be doing more cross-community work with them at Belfast Activity Centre.
The school mentors continue to work with girls in one-to-one mentoring sessions - looking at study skills, revision, behaviour, confidence, peer-pressure and more! Sharon works with girls in year 9 and 10 and Natasha works with girls in year 11 and 12.
In Junior School there are more groups and activities coming up as well.
Sharon‘s year 9 Friendship Group have been meeting on Friday afternoons and are looking forward to seeing Pinocchio at the end of February. We have been thinking about why we need friends, what makes a good friend and how we can be a good friend to others.
The girls in 10 O are getting ready to produce their own film with a special project running on Thursday afternoons after school.
More girls in year 9 and 10 will get the opportunity to be involved in another film project running at Easter. Speak to the Learning Mentors if you are interested in being involved.
