On Tuesday 18th December 2007, the annual carol service took place. There was a variety of music and drama that definitely got the staff and pupils in the Christmas spirit. 8KM, under the direction of Miss Metcalfe, opened by giving a brilliant drama performance of ”The Christmas Prayer“ followed by Sarah McIlveen-Wright singing ”Carol of the Children“.
The service consisted of numerous bible readings and songs sung by the school choir and the chamber choir. There was also a performance from a range of musicians demonstrating their recorder playing skills with ”Away In A Manger“. The music and RE department must be thanked for their dedication and enthusiasm in order to organise this event.
The service ended with Stephanie Watters singing a few up-beat Christmas tunes that got the whole school on their feet singing along. It got everyone in the Christmas spirit, and most definitely got them in the mood for Santa!
