Our Youthbank committee has been very busy over the last few months. We had our assembly on 22nd October, where we gave out over 100 application forms. We hope you enjoyed it and we give a big thank you to Becky Waite and Emma Smyth from 8JA for taking part.
We received 27 application forms before the deadline on Tuesday 13th November. We then held interviews with the applicants to find out more about their ideas. From the interviews, we discussed each idea and assessed them. We had to make sure that the idea satisfied certain criteria. Those that did not satisfy the criteria were rejected.
We are currently scoring the 15 ideas which did fit the criteria. We hope to have chosen the successful ideas by the middle of January. We will then hold a celebration event in the library to present the successful applicants with their cheques.
