Challenges in schools is a class were we get to communicate with people from different countries such as Finland, Slovenia and Hungary and we can learn different things about them. They came to visit us in Belfast and we went on a residential for 2 days.
They came to our school on there first day here and we had tea with them and got to know different things about them. Then we had to cook their traditional food with Mr Donnely and our traditional foods and had a taste of what their countries food what was like.
We stayed in Corrymeela over the 2 days. We had a good time finding out different things about people from different countries while we were doing the ice breakers. We did lots of different activities such as fruit salad, blind date and making posters of our dream schools.
On the second day we went to the Giants Causeway and had a good time walking around the Causeway coast. Then we went into Belfast City Centre and went on the Belfast Bus Tour which took us around the town, Shankill Road and The Falls and told us different facts about Belfast and the different murals.
Afterwards some of the pupils went to Mr Mercer's house and had dinner to leave the visitors off. All the girls in Challenges in School would like to thank Miss Allen and Mr Mercer for bringing us on residential and also for helping us meet new people.
