English Easter Booster Classes!
The G.C.S.E English revision classes were taken by Mrs McKeown during the 8th, 9th and 10th of April. In this time we covered many topics including: comprehension skills, characterisation, empathy, diary writing, the writer‘s craft, persuasive writing techniques, leaflets and advertising and essay writing.
A number of year 12 girls took part in these Easter Booster classes, proving their commitment to their studies, and willingness to improve their work. They found the classes valuable and interesting, especially as the teacher was able to spend more time with smaller groups, instead of a normal class of 20!

Mildred was also a huge help during these days as she assisted the pupils in answering exam questions, as well as typing up all notes to distribute to the girls.
Mrs McKeown would like to thank the girls who turned up, and wish all G.C.S.E pupils luck for their up-coming examinations. Please work hard and revise thoroughly in order to achieve the very best you are capable of!
