The Year 12, 13 and 14 Art classes visited the RUA (Royal Ulster Academy) exhibition in October. This annual Art exhibition shows the work of some of Ulster's best artists and this year was held in the Northern Bank building in Waring Street, Belfast.
On our visits we were able to see real Art works and appreciate the techniques and skills in each work, unlike seeing a print in a book. The students will be able to use this visit to help them develop their own art work inspired by the work they saw.
There was a wide range of work from paintings to prints to sculptures and there was plenty of different types of work to interest everyone. The building itself was beautiful with ornate carved cornices - an art work in itself.
