Dr Pinkerton and George Aligiah
Dr Pinkerton travelled to London last week to attend the 2009 International School Awards 2009. The Awards Ceremony was held in the Brewery in London on Friday 16 October. The awards of a beautiful glass trophy and a personalised certificate were presented by George Aligiah, the well known and much respected BBC newscaster and former foreign correspondent. The Girls‘ Model was one of only 14 schools in Northern Ireland to be recognised for our international work. It was a wonderful day. Dr Pinkerton was able to chat to colleagues from across the UK and find out more about the work of the British Council across the world. Well done to everyone who helped us to win this prestigious award.
