Presentation of Awards and Certificates

On Monday 16th November 2009, the Girls Model held its annual Presentation of Certificates and Awards. Mrs Paula Hillman (nee Cowan) was the guest speaker, a past pupil and former head girl who became the PSNI‘s area commander. She gave an encouraging talk on her school life and the steps she has taken in order for her to get where she is now. We would like to thank Paula for attending the event and making it very enjoyable.

Mr. Graham also gave his annual report, discussing the schools progress during the past year and celebrated the pupils’ achievements throughout the school year of 2008/2009.

The success of pupils’ achievements was celebrated through the distribution of a number of awards to current pupils and past pupils who have recently left to pursue a career in industry or continue their studies at Further and Higher Education. Some notable awards were presented to those pupils achieving excellent A-level and GCSE results. Rebecca Hughes received an award for best all-round performance for her A-levels. Furthermore, Naomi Gray received the award for the best all-round performance for her GCSEs.
