The CACHE/Early Years Department is thrilled to be in the new school. The brand new facilities are fantastic and the first of their kind for a school in Northern Ireland.

The “Mini Model” is a purpose built day care facility for up to 44 children. The nursery is fantastically kitted out and has the very best of equipment and toys! The rooms have been creatively named as the “mini dribblers” (0-2years), “mini gigglers” (2-3 years) and “mini scribblers” (3-4 years). There is also a “mini snooze room”, “mini toilets”, mini baby change and a “mini playground!”

The nursery will provide high quality childcare for SAM’s, GMS staff and the local community. It is hoped that the facility will be operational from Easter.

The Early Years classroom is directly linked to the nursery by a one way viewing window. This allows CACHE/Early Years pupils to see theory being put into practice. Pupils will have the opportunity to carryout observations and see first hand the stages of children’s development. It will be a fantastic learning opportunity for pupils to see milestones such as a baby taking their first steps!
